According to the analysis, if a person who smokes 10 cigarettes a day quits smoking on January 1, they can prevent the loss of one day of life that smoking will steal from their life by January 8.

If they do not drink by February 5th, they can add a week to their lifespan, and if they quit by August 5th, this period can increase to a month.

80 THOUSAND DEATHS ANNUALLY ARE CAUSED BY CIGARETTE


Smoking is one of the leading causes of preventable disease and death worldwide, killing two-thirds of long-term users.

Around 80,000 deaths are related to smoking in the UK each year, while a quarter of all cancer deaths in the UK are caused by smoking.
